I decided to look at chapter nine which is titled The Jail System because there was good background information inside. This chapter looked specifically at the jails in the United States and showed some statistical data as well. The main ideas of the chapter were how jails came about and how there is no segregation present in them.
What Is Criminology breaks down the definition and gives a bit of background on criminologists. I found this website to be most helpful because criminology is basically the focal point of my entire capstone. Criminology is the study of crimes from individual and social perspectives. My capstone models this closely because I am creating a documentary that shows the viewpoints of two sides which would be the offender and the lawyer.
